Like an enhanced camera

TRiCAM image enhancement camera/CMOS is a compact enhancement camera. It is designed specifically for scientific and industrial applications that require low light imaging. Due to the built-in enhanced camera/CMOS, TRiCAM can achieve ultra short exposure through fast gating and frequency domain imaging using lock-in detection. The TRiCAM image enhancement camera/CMOS has a fast CMOS sensor coupled to an image intensifier to achieve optimal transmission efficiency. The enhanced camera TRiCAM has high sensitivity, as low as horizontal, and is complemented by a capture speed of up to 162 frames per second.

TRiCAM (Time Resolved Enhanced Camera) is the choice for time-domain and/or frequency ultrafast imaging.

For time-domain imaging, ICMOS is equipped with an integrated timing pulse generator and gate unit (TRiCAM G). The TRiCAM G includes LI Capture software for controlling gate width, gate frequency, delay, gain, and pixel merging. Two synchronous TTL output signals (output A and B) can be used to drive pulsed lasers or LEDs. For frequency domain imaging, ICMOS supports gain modulation of 120 MHz (standard) and higher (external signal generator), model TRiCAM M. Single chip digital synthesizer modulates to ensure low phase noise. TRiCAM is a key component of Lambert Instrument LIFA System FLIM.

TRiCAM has high customizability and can be equipped with image enhancers suitable for your application. The camera models cover different spectral sensitivity ranges, phosphors, spatial resolution, gain, linearity, gate width, and gate frequency.

Enhanced Camera/CMOS Model:

TRiCAM G - Gated Image EnhancerThe TRiCAM G is equipped with an integrated timing pulse generator and a gating unit. The gate pulse generated by the integrated gate unit is less than 3ns.

TRiCAM M - Modulation Image EnhancerModulation up to 120 MHz is provided by a microcontroller digital synthesizer to ensure very low phase noise.

TRiCAM GM - Gated and Modulated Image Enhancer:This is a combination of gated and modulated versions of TRiCAM. This multifunctional camera is capable of gating and modulating imaging.

Product principle and characteristics:

1. Image Enhancer

TRiCAM has a built-in image intensifier that can enhance incident light. In this way, you can capture clear images under the most challenging lighting conditions.

Image intensifier can enhance the intensity of incident light. By converting photons into electrons and then back into photons, the intensity of light can be significantly increased. Another feature of an image intensifier is that it can serve as an ultra fast shutter.

Photocathodes are the entrance to an image intensifier. This is where incident photons are converted into electrons. The quantum efficiency of photocathode materials specifies the efficiency of this conversion for each wavelength.

2. Fiber optic panel coupling

Our experienced engineers couple the sensor with a fiber optic window onto the image intensifier. This is a solid piece of glass, sealed together by millions of parallel glass fibers. Each optical fiber acts as an independent light conductor, transmitting light from the image intensifier to the sensor.

3. Ultra short gating

The image intensifier of TRiCAM can serve as an ultra fast shutter, which can quickly switch on and off. This technology is called gating and can be completed within a few ns. When imaging fast-moving objects or highly dynamic processes, gating can eliminate motion blur. By changing the timing of the gate signal, you can use gating to record a time-resolved light intensity profile.

4. High resolution sensors

2.3M pixels——TRiCAM has high-resolution CMOS sensors. It can capture stunning detail images of 1920 x 1200 pixels.

160fps——Even in poor lighting conditions, TRiCAM can record slow motion shots at speeds of up to 160 frames per second.

Global Shutter——Through its global shutter readout method, the sensors in TRiCAM eliminate the influence of rolling shutter in your image.
